Private Equity Analyst Jobs

Job Summary:

Arrowroot Capital seeks a Private Equity Analyst for our Santa Monica Office. This is a 2-year program with the potential opportunity to continue as an Associate thereafter. Arrowroot Analysts identify, contact and build relationships with founders of successful private software companies that are identified as target companies based on the company’s financial metrics and market research. This person will play a significant role in supporting Associates in evaluating and executing investment transactions and portfolio management.

This position will start in Summer 2019.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Transaction Sourcing, Evaluation and Execution:

• Investment due diligence (financial, competitive, strategic, etc.)
• Market research and investment thesis development
• Sourcing, assessment and tracking of new investment opportunities

Portfolio Company Support:

• Financial modeling, updating portfolio reports, budgeting and general analytical support
• Support in operating plan development, strategic initiatives and corporate development

Qualifications:

• Superior Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills required
• Applicants must either live in the Los Angeles area or have strong ties to the area
• Self-motivated with high degree of intellectual curiosity, proactive mentality and desire to work in an unstructured, entrepreneurial environment
• Top performer within peer group in the following areas: qualitative and quantitative analytical skills, finance, business judgment, and attention to detail
• High level of integrity with strong references
• 0-2 years prior experience, ideally in investment banking or similar
• Strong interest in enterprise software investing
• Very strong written and oral communication skills
• Undergraduate degree from top university with high GPA
