The Account Manager is expected to be well-versed regarding the full range of products marketed through the agency and would be an active producer who would be involved in sales activities in order to become and remain personally familiar with those activities that pertain specifically to cross-selling and upgrading.
**This is a HYBRID position**
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
  • Provides exceptional service to our clients
  • Ensures proper claims handling and tracking by entering all relevant information into agency management system.
  • Contacts appropriate insurance carrier to initiate claim process
  • Returns calls & e-mails same day as client inquiry
  • Performs quality assurance checks on renewals to verify proper coverages and address discrepancies with insurance carrier
  • Handles general client inquiries such as billing, coverage questions, etc.
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Handles initial claims contacts from insured
  • Maintains appropriate documentation in customer files and tracks customer correspondence in agency management system.
  • Advises management of > $10,000 for a single loss
  • Reviews policies for accuracy; reports errors to carriers
  • Processes customer requests for policy changes and ensures prompt delivery (fax, phone, e-mail, etc.)
  • Confirms customer information on file is correct (i.e. address, phone numbers, etc.) and inputs, updates records in agency management system.
  • Follows appropriate non-pay or voluntary cancellation request procedures
  • Identifies cross-sell opportunities and round-out accounts
  • When appropriate, contacts customers prior to renewal to thoroughly review insurance needs/policies.
  • Services existing book of business to ensure retention rate of 90% or better
  • Tracks policy renewals via reports and contacts carriers to request renewals for surplus policies; confirms policies in force w/o lapse; collect payments
  • Works Diligently to send out the renewal summaries prepared by the Marketing & Rating Team.

  • Oversees sales and service practices for compliance and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and carrier underwriting criteria within the team
  • Abides by and maintains all licensing requirements by state
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
  • Quality control—the individual demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
  • AMS 360 knowledge is a nice plus, but not a necessity.
  • Interpersonal skills—the individual maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas and exhibits willingness to try new things.
  • Safety and security—the individual observes safety and security procedures and uses equipment and materials properly.
  • Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and demonstrates group presentation skills.
  • Planning/organizing—the individual prioritizes and plans work activities and uses time efficiently.
  • Adaptability—the individual adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • 3+ years’ experience in role.
  • Problem solving—the individual identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully and maintains confidentiality.
  • Written communication—the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.
  • Candidate should know the following carriers: Pure, Chubb, AIG, and Cincinnati
