Prior Auth Operations - Tech I

Pharm Tech | Customer Service | Prior Auth/Appeals | FULLY REMOTE
Hours: 9a-530p, CST AND/OR 12p-830p, CST

Exciting opportunity to join a team of pharmacy experts as a Pharm Tech | Customer Service | Prior Auth/Appeals. In this role, the registered pharmacy technician will take in-coming calls from members and providers, providing professional phone assistance to all callers through the criteria based prior authorization process. The ideal candidate must maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials, and transfers all clinical questions and judgment calls to the pharmacist.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: 17.00
Maximum: 27.90

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.

Required Qualifications

• At minimum 1-2 years experience as a pharmacy technician
• Board of Pharmacy license is required
• Current pharmacy technician registration within state of residence

Preferred Qualifications

• PC Windows experience required Basic math skills required (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Call Center Experience
• Candidate must have the ability to deal with a diverse customer base in a friendly and confident manner (internal and external customers)
• Excellent communication skills (oral, written, grammar, listening)
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

Education

• GED or High School Diploma
