Job Description

Our client, an established TPA/IA firm, also has a growing engineering firm. They are looking for top level Principal Engineer who will oversee all technical aspects of that division, including:Recruiting contract engineers based on required geography, skills, state licenses.

  • Addressing client (TPA examiner/insurance carrier) questions regarding report timeliness and report quality.
  • Assigning and managing workloads
  • Work with executive leadership to develop and execute on corporate strategy and growth plans.
  • Peer reviewing each report including technical review, ensure "sound analysis and conclusions", address questions that the Examiner/Carrier needs in order to set proper reserves, report formatting, and, very importantly, "readability" of the report (e.g. clear and concise about findings and opinion).


The ideal candidate will have:A Bachelors' degree in engineering; graduate degree preferred.

  • Entrepreneurial, growth-oriented mindset.
  • Licensed PE in NY, NJ, PA, FL & TX with a willingness to attain additional licenses as needed
  • 5 plus years of forensic engineering experience working for insurance clients.
  • Excellent client service skills and strong business sense in addition to technical engineering expertise.


Person will ideally be located in the NY/.NJ/CT area. Hybrid role with flexibility going into the office. Would also consider someone in FL or TX.
