Job Description

We are actively seeking a full-time Principal Consultant, Client Services to be responsible for end-to-end leadership and operational management of external client projects to produce defined deliverables on time to agreed project specifications. The role holder will be responsible for all project management functions from detailed planning through execution. Has delegated responsibility, accountability and authority for project resources, deliverables and financials associated with VieCure projects (client-facing and internal). There is a high level of travel (+50%) to client sites.


The Principal Consultant – Client Services will drive project results / deliverables by actively managing all project components using a disciplined and organized project management methodology under the authority of the VP & General Manager / executive leadership. This role has overall accountability for client success in use of the VieCure platform, to include realizing measurable benefits through proper application of the platform and maximizing the use of discrete data to manage patient care and contribute to the company’s overall data commercialization strategy.


Owning allocated client projects, the Principal Consultant – Client Services is accountable for project completion from initiation through to post-delivery. Serving as mediator (to internal issues and conflicting priorities for members of cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing solutions to clients), the role holder will skillfully navigate challenges through expert planning and detailed coordination of activities between client and company personnel.


Accountability for meeting revenue and cost projections, steering the efforts of cross-functional teams, including project planning / timeline scheduling, prioritizing, monitoring progress, problem solving, contingency planning for slippages, and leading client update meetings are expectations of the role holder.


The role includes responsibility for the management, mentorship, and providing guidance and direction of/to all project resources in their sphere of control pertaining to any projects allocated to them (internal and possible external including client staff).


The Principal Consultant – Client Services will be expected to become familiar with the technical and functional aspects of the VieCure platform and where possible, identity opportunities during project delivery to improve clinical usage that improve patient experience and the delivery of cancer care.


Experience

  • Experience in cloud-based software implementation, which may include end user training, and supporting implemented software systems.
  • 5+ years of related healthcare experience desirable.
  • Experience working with providers and other clinical and operational personnel within Oncology is a plus.
  • Significant experience of EMR implementations and/or management in a lead role in a system implementation / Software as a service (SaaS) environment.
  • Knowledge of project management concepts and methodology. Able to participate in project planning sessions.
  • Clinical background advantageous but not required, i.e., nurse, lab tech, radiation therapist, medical assistant, etc.


Technical Competencies

  • Ability to assess current state workflows. Plan and document future state workflows based on best practices.
  • Familiarity and appropriate competent use of project management applications (ClickUp, MS Project, SmartSheet, etc.).
  • An understanding of Data Conversion and Interface Building highly desirable.
  • Previous experience with EMR platforms or technology implementations in a clinical setting: (MOSAIQ, Aria, OncoEMR Centricity/ULS, LabCorp, Nucleus, as an example of EMR platforms).
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365.
  • Oncology Language / Terminology understanding including knowledge of clinical workflows in Radiation or Medical Oncology advantageous.
  • An understanding of Product Management and Development.

Education / Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degrees or equivalent experience in Healthcare IT Project Management preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or qualified by experience is useful
  • Knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices preferred


We are headquartered near Denver, Colorado. For this role we require a candidate based in Denver, Atlanta or Washington DC.


The salary range for candidates based in Washington is $140,000-$185,000 per annum. The exact salary offered will be based on the candidate’s knowledge, skills and experience.
