THE OPPORTUNITY:


The Pricing Manager will be responsible for working with Sales on commercial solutions. The Pricing Manager is a sales support position that will require strong analytical skills and ability to work well with a variety of functions, levels within the organization, as well as a customer facing position that requires excellent communication skills (verbal and written). The primary focus of this position will be to help structure profitable, maximize revenue, and increase the effectiveness and productivity of TechInsights’ sales force. This role will act in a fiduciary capacity in managing first line approvals for the deal approval process, including deal structuring and accelerating deal closures. This will be accomplished by meeting with your sales teams to identify Customers’ critical business issues and assist in structuring transaction that meet both TechInsights’ requirements and the Customer’s needs.

What You Will Do:
  • Customer Renewals
  • Communication and negotiating often with senior level contacts within customer organizations
  • Develop and deliver win/win negotiation strategies that maximize contract value
  • Complex Solution Development
  • Create and present renewal proposal(s) to customers providing notification to customers of upcoming contract expiration
  • Negotiate all facets of commercial terms and conditions using sound business judgment during renewal efforts
  • Protect and enhance the customer relationship and the value they are realizing from Digital Realty, while minimizing customer churn
  • Manage pre-sales pricing process including pricing tool and system support
  • Act as a single point of contact for pricing escalations, approval requests, and complex deal structure requests
  • Responsible for proactively identifying customer deployments that do not meet target market rates in an effort to drive incremental revenue opportunities as part of the renewal cycle
  • Monitor the pricing approval queue and provide approval for in region deals approved within financial guidelines
  • Offer Development
  • Work with cross functional teams to include Sales, Sales Engineering, Sales Management, Product, Legal, Finance, and Sales Operations, as appropriate, to resolve complex issues regarding the finalization of customer renewals
  • Drive complex and non-standard solutions with strategic customers
  • Responsible for developing pricing models
  • Works closely with Portfolio Management teams to review bookings, renewal activity, pipeline, market dynamics, capacity planning and churn files
  • Define, improve, and automate quote to cash processes
  • Conduct independent analysis and make commercial recommendations on new deals that are in alignment with company strategy
  • Ensure quoted and sold deals meet operational, legal and financial requirements
  • Supports Sales to assist with developing customer proposals while using the pricing thresholds, customer expirations, new inventory coming online, win/loss feedback, and market/building knowledge


What You’ll Need:


  • Ability and desire to acquire new industry knowledge
  • Ability to interact with cross-functional peers as well as senior management
  • 5+ years SaaS, Subscription based or IT industry experience preferably in the areas of Market Research, Market Intelligence, Competitive Intelligence, or Intellectual Property.
  • Proven experience in FP&A, Sales Finance, Sales Operations and/or Deal Desk
  • Bachelor degree in business or technical field preferred
  • Expert user capability in Salesforce.com, and Excel
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills including ability to conduct presentations to variety of levels both internal and external to the company
  • High degree of comfort and strong desire to work in a fast, dynamic environment
