CARS.COM is currently seeking a skilled Pricing Analyst I to join our dynamic Accu-Trade team. Accu-Trade equips local dealers with the most powerful appraisal software in the industry. This software helps dealers meet consumers at the point of sale, acquire vehicles, and appraise vehicles using best-in-class data and tools. Unlike any other product on the market, Accu-Trade is changing the industry through a sharp focus on tailored acquisition. About The Role
In this role, you will support our pricing analyst team by generating, refining, and validating the data required to deliver precise used car trade-in valuations. You will play an active role in ensuring the data used by our team to price 30,000+ vehicles in our database are up-to-date, accurate and reliable so tailored decisions can be made to reflect current market trends.
Responsibilities

• Create custom reports that dive deeper into historical pricing trends
• Research new vehicle releases and ensure those vehicles are accurately listed in the database
• Participate in weekly pricing meetings with analyst team to review and discuss current wholesale activity
• Take ownership of various weekly reports and help maintain their accuracy and relevancy

Requirements
The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• Strong mathematical abilities, coupled with exceptional attention to detail
• Effective validation skills, with the capacity to identify and address data inconsistencies and anomalies
• Strong work ethic and comfortable working from a remote location
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Access and Google Sheets
• Vehicle / automotive knowledge desired
• Aptitude for synthesizing complex and diverse data sets into clear, meaningful outcomes
• Ability to work independently and deliver high quality work
• Expertise in managing and analyzing large volumes of data
• Knowledge of standard and optional equipment configurations for new vehicles across various manufacturers
