Job Description
Company: Diversified Facility Solutions (DFS) provides project management and facility management services for commercial office, lab, retail, healthcare, call and data centers, education, industrial and hospital projects. Our extensive experience in every aspect of the construction, project, and facility management processes from the project conception through project completion to everyday operations, offers a multi-disciplined blend of services to clients. Opportunity: DFS seeks a leader to transform our business from regional supplier focused on construction, to a national provider focusing on a wide range of project and facility management services. The President is responsible for the leadership, management, and strategic direction of DFS including operational management, client, and market interface, creating, and sustaining a competitive standard platform and driving top and bottom-line growth. This role oversees the Operations and Business Development driving profitable growth, and the effective, efficient, and ethical operations of their respective areas by building a cohesive management staff dedicated to the ongoing growth and improvement of business operations.
The DFS president is an experienced professional who understands not only the technical side of facility, project, and construction management, but who’s business acumen and predisposition to action translate into rapid growth, entering new geographies, creating new service lines, and new industries.

Essential Functions:
  • Define and implement a clear and cohesive management team/organizational structure to drive growth and provide services seamlessly.
  • Develop and maintain the plan for expanding and sustaining the business through leveraging and building on, the existing DFS and Flagship platforms.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to improve the customer experience.
  • Evaluate industry and business trends for potential impact on operations; identify key business opportunities and potential threats along with a corresponding proactive action plan.
  • Coordinate risk assessment of all major opportunities. Ensure compliance with code of conduct and ethical business practices. Operate with integrity and trust in every instance.
  • Develops and executes the transformation plan to migrate from a construction company to a facility and project management company. The plan will include developing capabilities in specific geographies, industries, and service lines to develop and implement throughout the first year leading DFS.
  • Work in concert with Flagship Leadership and Flagship infrastructure teams to ensure effective operational delivery, creating a scalable platform while increasing revenue across service lines.
  • Follows safety procedures with all guidelines from OSHA, Department of Public Health, and Risk Management.
  • Lead the relationship between business development and operations to ensure cohesive growth and delivery, taking reasonable risks with stretch targets. Demonstrate strategic agility in determining new work to pursue, new markets to enter, and new services to develop.
  • Responsible for overall growth, profitability, and expense management for DFS, making DFS profitable in the first year of operations.
  • Responsible for building and developing successful, diverse, inclusive teams. The role requires the development and implementation of progressive business strategies – profitable, sustainable growth -- driving results through high-performing teams.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and the DFS team. Demonstrate value to the client, emphasizing how we can support their business; create a positive culture for our staff, emphasizing our values. Provide leadership in safety and reinforce safety culture across the business.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Be proficient in computer, electronic and automated functions. Strong computer skills in Word, Outlook, Access, or other project management systems.
  • Ability to cultivate business relationships and possesses a strong interpersonal awareness to develop and grow programs within a selected market.
  • Must demonstrate managerial courage, making difficult staffing decisions in a timely manner.
  • Communicate project analytics and goals to clients and teams to drive outstanding nationwide project delivery.
  • Ability to view clients’ challenges holistically, then proactively demonstrate how DFS can meet those challenges through innovative, industry changing ideas brought to bear with highly trained teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Education and Work Experience:
  • Proven success in developing, growing, selling, and implementing project and facility management solutions.
  • College degree
  • Experience of developing platforms and solutions across multiple geographic areas and services. Experience with both self-performance and contracted and models of project and facility management.
  • Relevant professional qualifications along with a minimum 15+ years of proven success.
  • Experience in managing people across different areas and working as part of a virtual team.
  • Track record of negotiating and closing deals with clients. Demonstrated experience in managing accounts and effectively implementing facility solutions for these across multiple services lines and areas.
