Job Description
Ipswich Public Schools is seeking a preschool Speech and Language Therapist (SLP) to join our team. The .5 FTE Preschool Speech and Language Therapist (SLPA) works with students with communication and related disorders in coordination with the full-time preschool Speech and Language Therapist (SLP). The SLP must: -Hold a license from MA Board of Registry for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology-Hold a license from Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Academic Specialist Teacher- Speech and Language license. Duties include: -Evaluating preschoolers for services, provision of IEP services in individual, small group, and inclusion settings-Consulting to general education and special education staff regarding student needs and best practices-Maintaining records and documentation on students including creating IEP goals and reporting on progress toward annual IEP goals and objectives-Preparing materials and scheduling activities necessary to provide inclusion and pullout services to identified students -Collaborating as an effective member of student support teams.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to do this job/ The above is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties required.
