Summary

The Goddard School located in Leesburg, VA is seeking a motivated self-starter for a Preschool Director position at our school. We are nationally-accredited as well as the only preschool that is Virginia Quality Level 4 accredited in Loudoun County. A bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field, and management experience in a large licensed childcare center or preschool are required. The candidate must have exemplary leadership skills, excellent communication skills, and a good understanding of age appropriate activities for young children.

Duties

The Director responsibilities encompass all aspects of childcare center operation and management.
The Director will have to deliver the results relating to:

Managing a budget and licensing & marketing activities
Overseeing educational goals along with preschool operations including human resources, quality assurance, and facility operations
Develop strong relationships with our families & faculty
Positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
Highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Deep love for children and a strong commitment to education.

Requirements

JOB REQUIREMENTS
BA or BS in Education or similar field
Prior Managerial Experience in a large Preschool setting
Team Player
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills
Can-do attitude
Aptitude for technology in education
Thorough knowledge of Accreditation and State licensing requirements
Commitment to Professional Development
Positive and upbeat attitude while working in a fast-paced environment
Highly effective organizational, time management, and multitasking skills
Deep love for children and a strong commitment to education
Compensation is commensurate with qualifications, education, and experience.
