Job Description
Kido, an innovative and global network of international nurseries and preschools, is seeking a Bilingual Assistant Preschool Director to join their ambitious and caring team. Working closely with the Preschool Director, the assistant director will help create a nurturing and safe environment where children can develop their cognitive, social, physical and creative abilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education, have excellent communication skills and be fluent in English and at least one other language. The successful applicant will join a team that combines elements from Montessori, Reggio Emilia and Waldorf Steiner, and uses beautiful learning spaces and 21st century technology to provide the most effective and customised learning experiences for young children.


Responsibilities


  • Support the development and implementation of the school's curriculum, policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Preschool Director to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the preschool.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and budgets.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of new staff members.
  • Help maintain a safe and stimulating environment for children to learn and play in.
  • Build positive relationships with parents, staff and members of the wider community.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, and provide feedback to staff as needed.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a preschool or nursery setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of child development and current early childhood education research.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Fluent in English and at least one other language.
