Job Description

Onsite: Position requires an employee to be onsite on a full-time basis.

The Role:

As a Pre-Production Operations Project Engineer will be of a technical nature with decisions made within the limits of general practices, policies and standards. Your work will involve complex manufacturing problems including the need to root cause and follow issues to resolve. You will be responsible for equipment related to the manufacturing process. You will required to use your independent discernment. Your responsibility may involve training others and assigning work to a small group of employees.

What You'll Do:

  • You will keep regular contact with partners outside the work group
  • Direct the design, development, and/or improvement of manufacturing processes for assigned area
  • You will analyze and implement product or machinery designs for the best method for manufacturing processes
  • You may evaluate or monitor expenditures for processes and/or equipment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively, cross-functionally and cross-culturally
  • You will propose and evaluate the processes for equipment in assigned area
  • You will provide direction to small group of technical employees

Additional

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):

  • Ability to multitask by handling diverse assignments, programs, and projects concurrently
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in the same.
  • Project Management Skills
  • 5+ years work experience in Bodyshop.
  • Thorough understanding of body shop assembly build sequences
  • High level of analytical and problem-solving skills required

What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

  • Intermediate knowledge of the Tecnomatix software (process designer), UG/NX, and VIS mockup
  • Intermediate knowledge with Microsoft office and Outlook mail.
