Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:
  • Investigates PREA allegations, allegations of improper conduct and or activity
  • Apprise the PM of significant findings
  • Ensures deliverable timeframes are met and interacts with the PM, APM and ICE / ERO staff as necessary Monitors and evaluates PREA, identifies trends and ensures a PREA tracking system is in place and utilized to maintain adequate records of all PREA allegations and responses
  • Responds to and processes potential crime scenes and preserves evidence
  • Reviews CCTV footage for evidence of facts. Save the video footage to a (compact disc) as well as upload the footage to the share drive
  • Ensure compliance with all required deadlines and deliverables
  • Completes all other investigations as assigned
  • Initiates an immediate response as required by policy upon receipt of a PREA allegation
  • Maintains a PREA tracking system and maintains copies of all investigations, grievances, and reports
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Use the TTD or language lines as necessary
  • Conducts interviews of witnesses and subjects. Maintains interview notes and records
  • Manages and investigates detainee grievances
  • Ensures compliance with ACA, PBNDS and PREA standards
  • Provides a detailed response to internal and external inquiries
  • Ensure compliance with PBNDS, ACA and all other rules and regulations of the facility
  • Conducts witness interviews, reviews CCTV footage, adheres to standard investigatory protocols
  • Participates in PREA incident and after-action reviews as required by policy
  • Establishes and uses a standard format for all investigation reports to ensure documentation is thorough and complete
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Maintain minimum expected fitness standards for law enforcement operations
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Skilled in written and oral communication, such as preparation of correspondence, reports, and other documents; the ability to brief or otherwise convey plans, policies, and guidelines, and tactfully and diplomatically resolve problems and convince others to adopt recommendations made
  • Pass a criminal background and consumer credit check (no criminal record)
  • Possess a valid state driver's license or CDL
  • Ability to obtain a state security guard license from the state of Arizona
  • Ability to exercise good judgment: courage, alertness, an even temperament, and render satisfactory performance through his/her responsibilities
  • Obtain and maintain a DHS/ICE government clearance
  • Pass a medical examination and meet health requirements
  • Pass all pre-employment and random drug tests
  • Ability to greet and deal tactfully and professionally with the general public
  • US citizen or a person lawfully admitted into the United States for permanent residence and have resided in the U.S. for the last five years
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum of three to five years of Military, Security, Law Enforcement, or Corrections experience demonstrating the following:
  • Capability of following and interpreting/understanding written and verbal orders, policies and regulations, printed rules and regulations, detailed written orders, training instructions and materials, and are able to compose written and oral reports
  • Ability to maintain poise and self-control during potential emergencies and unexpected situations that may involve mental and physical stress such as disturbances, altercations, fires, and building evacuations
