Power Electronics Engineer -- Up To $120K -- (Hybrid) Philadelphia, Pa -- Seeking Military Veteran

Seeking a seasoned Power Electronics Engineer to join our team.

What You'll Do

You will work in a highly collaborative setting assisting with the creation of the Department of Defense Navy's next-generation Destroyer.

LOCATION:

Hybrid role with potential for daily physical presence in Philadelphia, PA. (expect 2 days in the office per week)

Experience

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Minimum of 6 months of developing, updating, or executing test procedures for systems that include at least 2 of the types of power equipment listed above.
• Minimum 6 years of experience that includes the following practical experience requirements
• Minimum of 6 months of field experience in installing and testing or troubleshooting at least 2 of the types of power equipment listed above.
• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with 450VAC/300VDC or higher for at least 2 of the following types of power equipment: Transformers, Rectifiers, Solid State Relays/IGBTs, 50+HP motors, Induction motors, Switchboards, Motor controllers such as variable frequency drives, inverters, and power monitors.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in testing or developing control systems associated with power generation, transmission, distribution, or conversion.

Stand Out If You Have

• Knowledge of the theory and application of magnetics (inductors, transformers) and capacitors (Electrolytic, film, and Ceramic) used for power conversion
• Knowledge in control theory and sensor integration.
• US Navy shipboard experience
• Experience working with 4160VAC/1000VDC or higher
• Knowledge of device characteristics, gate driving circuit design, thermal design, topologies, modulation schemes, and control strategies in Medium Voltage Power Converters
• Active Secret clearance
