Plumbing Apprentice Jobs

Job Overview
The Plumbing Apprentice is responsible for assisting the Plumbing Mechanic on the installation of underground sanitary piping, hot and cold-water piping, & fixture installs. Plumbing Apprentices are expected to utilize a combination of skills and experience to perform work necessary to maximize the functionality of our customer’s systems and minimize downtime.

Reports To
The Plumbing Apprentice will report to the Job Site Plumbing Mechanic

What Success Looks Like
A successful Plumbing Apprentice is responsible for the following outcomes:

• Advocating the Schwenn Company’s Vision of being our clients preferred and most desirable choice for their mechanical, electrical and plumbing service needs.
• Showing up on time and ready to work
• Have the proper tools that are trade specific
• Completing and returning time cards in a neat, orderly and timely manner.

How this position fits on the Team
The Plumbing Apprentice is one of the primary engines of work at Schwenn. This position is always in the assist mode to help those around them. This position is critical to the current and future success of the completion of current projects and those in the future.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Make sure that every day that the job tool box or service Van has essential materials
• Work as a team with supervisors and coworkers to execute work as efficiently and to the highest standard possible
• Work in a safe manner and beware of your surroundings
• Wearing all required safety gear as job site requires
• At the end of every day, the ladders and tools are secured and looked up.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work in a team environment
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Able to clearly communicate with management, coworkers and customers
• Able to pass a drug test
• Eager to learn and be continually educated
