Job Description

Journeyman Plumber

Requirements

  • (Experience with heating systems a plus)
  • Must have a current journeyman license and continuing education requirements must be followed and up to date
  • Must be familiar with all standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to plumbing
  • Must have own vehicle and be able to transport tools and materials in the vehicle
  • Must be able to work independently or under supervision
  • Ability to inspect, repair, install, modify and maintain plumbing fixtures in heating, water and drainage systems in both the rough and finish stages
  • Ability to identify electrical, plumbing and safety problems applicable to the installation and be able to take necessary corrective action

Physical Requirements:

The plumbing workers make repairs and installations from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms, and where the parts of systems worked on being in hard-to-reach places. This requires the employees to stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions. The plumbing workers frequently lift, carry, and set up parts and equipment that weigh up to 80 pounds.
