Our client, a leading metals manufacturer, is seeking a Plant Mechanical Engineer in the Owensboro, KY area. Direct hire position with full benefits, annual bonus and outstanding relocation package.

Job Title: Plant Mechanical Engineer

Location: Owensboro, KY

Overview of job duties:

• Work on the plant floor, troubleshooting day-to-day issues and working with the crafts.
• Will work with project engineering group to manage CapEx upgrades, equipment upgrades, expansions.
• Run process improvement projects

Here’s a summary of who we’re seeking:

• Someone with some reliability background, experience with process improvement projects, ability to plan and schedule.
• Someone who is comfortable being on the floor (about ½ the time),
• Some experience running capital projects, with ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.
• Should be well organized and a self-starter not needing “hand holding”.
• Any Oracle and/or MS Project experience is helpful (will train).
• BS Mechanical engineering degree, or degree in related engineering field, required.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Any casting, refractory, furnace, combustion experience is helpful (will train on specifics if don’t have).
• Some AutoCAD experience to be able to layout equipment, update drawings, etc.
