M&S Machining is seeking candidates who have mechanical engineering experience. Individuals applying for this position will provide overall project engineering leadership on specific projects and is responsible for developing and presenting engineering solutions to meet client and company requirements and leading the team in implementing the solution. The ideal candidate will also have demonstrated interpersonal skills through experience interfacing with clients, engineers, manufacturing personnel, management and others of varying technical abilities, and must be able to work effectively within a team environment.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Compensation: commensurate with experience.

Job Duties:

• Make detailed plans to accomplish goals.
• Identify, Develop and Implement manufacturing process control as needed.
• Perform tolerance and deviation studies. Define detail parts dimensional requirements to meet final design intent.
• Oversee the research and development of new products and procedures.
• Contributing to proposal efforts through development of bills of material, production of engineering cost and labor estimates, and other activities.
• Coordinating with internal buyers and external vendors to exchange technical information and facilitate the design, fabrication, delivery, and inspection of components
• Influence and translate engineering design requirements into manufacturing processes
• Manages task execution to ensure on-time and on-target completion
• Leading teams focused on developing technical solutions to complex engineering problems, ranging in scale from large subassemblies to entire deliverable products
• Lead improvement and develop projects; new equipment, tooling design, technical challenges.

Required Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lead collaboration with other functional areas to facilitate various aspects of manufacturing process, integration, and support, including procurement, prototyping, production, or logistics
• Excellent analytical skills, written skills, and engineering aptitude
• U.S. Citizenship is required
• Experience with interpretation of technical documentation, strong print reading abilities, GD&T, ect..
• Complex project management experience.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Solidworks or similar CAD software.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related Engineering degree… experience can be used in lieu of education
• Strong ability to write technical documents such as W.P.S. , P.Q.R.’s, technical clarifications, analysis, ect…
• Experience leading teams or projects

Preferred Skills:

• 5 years of Aerospace or DOD (Department of Defense) experience
• Significant experience with machining, sheet metal, certified welding, complex assembly experience, metrology
• Experience with Capital Expenditure Projects, Line Builds, New Equipment Installations
• Preferred 2-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering
