Job Description

        POSITION DESCRIPTION

        What’s the job?

        Leads and directs all aspects of the Quakertown, PA site location. Major areas include environmental, health and safety, employee relations, production, customer service, quality, materials planning / scheduling, purchasing, shipping and receiving, process and project engineering, maintenance, finance and security. The objective is to optimize the plant profitability, production, quality, and service that exceeds industry standards and secures a market leadership position while achieving a workplace environment that is safe and healthy for employees and the community, and to foster continuous development of employees and teams to achieve performance excellence.

        DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES -

        Manage all aspects of plant operations to ensure on-time delivery of quality products globally while minimizing cost, inventory and waste. Implement programs for continuous improvement of customer service, product quality, process yield, reduction of variable and fixed costs, and reduction of inventory. Pursue synergies with other Siding Products Group (SPG) sites to collaborate, identify and implement best practices. – 55%

        Manage plant financials such as budgets, purchasing, capital, etc. to meet/exceed business expectations. Prepare appropriate plant information needed to complete Company financial requirements such as strategic plans and budgets. Implement key financial indicators to proactively monitor the plant’s progress. – 15%

        Manage Human Resources to include staffing rationalization and resource deployment, employee/organization training and development, performance management, teamwork and collaboration, salary and wage (and bonus) compensation and administration, enforce safety, work rules and housekeeping practices and maintain a high level of employee relations focus within the plant. Continue to develop and adapt workforce to technology changes. – 10%

        Implement and maintain programs to ensure that the plant meets/exceeds Company requirements for Health, Safety and Environment. Identify and pursue continuous improvement programs for HSE and Quality Assurance. – 10%

        Complete all administrative requirements in a timely fashion such as monthly reports, manufacturing reports and analysis, etc. – 10%

        REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

        • Understanding of concrete processing
        • Strong track record of people development, cultivating employee engagement
        • Sets the standards, communicates and achieves clear and measurable expectations of performance for the operation as well as direct reports.
        • Bachelor of Science degree required with degree in an engineering/technical discipline preferred. Master’s Degree Preferred.
        • Excellent communicator with first-rate written, verbal and presentation skills
        • Servant Leadership mindset
        • Must be adept at all phases of manufacturing processes: Concept Refinement, Technology, Systems Development, Production and Deployment, Operations and Support
        • Must excel in planning and establishing priorities while demonstrating flexibility and the ability to multi-task
        • 10+ years of experience manufacturing operations with demonstrated progressively increasing leadership responsibilities required.
        • Develops and initiates the direction and necessary resources to establish leading edge safety and environmental performance objectives
        • Natural problem solver, with an analytical approach, always driving for continuous improvement
        • Leads and directs the development and deployment of key operational initiatives for world class manufacturing (factory utilization improvement, process capability enhancement, customer satisfaction, employee involvement, etc.) in support of division objectives, vision and values.
