Job Description

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Branch Manager within our Kirkland, WA operation to help support our Aerospace business. At L&P Aerospace, we specialize in creating complex tube and duct assemblies using high-performance materials capable of withstanding extreme pressure, temperature, and chemical interaction. How high are our quality standards, you ask? So much so, that we have products on-board the Space Launch System with NASA, as well as the F-15 and F-35 fighter jets! If you join our team, your work will ensure families across the world fly a little safer, wherever their travels may take them.


As a Branch Manager you will have the opportunity to make a lasting mark by addressing key challenges within the operation. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by increasing profitability, reducing employee turnover, and improving employee morale. The team you will be working with is dedicated, eager to grow and values a leader with strategic vision with the ability to execute.


Salary Range: $140K - $160K


Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week

So, what will you be doing as a(n) Branch Manager?

  • Recruit, develop, and succession plan to positively effect retention
  • Oversee operations, and partner with leaders in HR, Quality, Customer Service, Engineering, and Accounting
  • Partner with the Sales team to support and manage customer relationships
  • Follow all company administrative policies and procedures as required
  • Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards
  • Full P&L responsibility: Review income statement, analyze variances, and initiate plans to address problem areas
  • Develop and implement procedures and processes to improve productivity
  • Manage and direct all aspects of the branch and help provide the tools to succeed in a profitable and safe manner.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable governmental/corporate regulations related business activities and environmental, health and safety
  • Manage effectiveness of the operations, to include staffing levels, production scheduling, minimizing scrap, improving quality, and ensuring on-time delivery.


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • At least 10 years of manufacturing and/or warehousing management experience, including P&L; at least five years in a supervisor role
  • Results driven operational leader
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Experience in aerospace industry with related products and current range of customers; including airframe OEM’s and sub-tiers a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree


Things we consider a plus

  • A background in Aerospace manufacturing strongly preferred
  • Experienced in Continuous Improvement
