Plant Manager Greenbrier Quarry

We are seeking a Plant Manager for one of our Sandstone quarry operations located in the Greenbriar, AR area. The position reports to the Area Production Manager. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

***Starting salary is $100,000 based on experience and Education

• Supervising quarry/mine employees and plant operations in a Sandstone surface mine
• Actively reaching out and being involved in the local community
• Ensure processes for quality product production and collaborate with area QC department
• Overseeing proper implementation of safety procedures
• Ensure compliance with all Company and Government policies and regulations
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting
• Effectively manage staff by setting clear performance objectives, providing regular feedback, and providing development through training
• Control costs to meet budgets and reduce costs to achieve savings
• Direct mine and pit planning
• Identify deficiencies and implement a plan for continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of profit and loss statements and basic accounting principles
• Working knowledge of environmental policies, standards, and best practices
• Ability to develop leadership at the lead person and foreman levels
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Proven safety record and excellent compliance in MSHA safety standards for both Part 46 & 48
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Basic surveying and mapping skills are required
• Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, geological engineering or similar is strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of AggQC and AggFlow is a plus
• Possess strong basic math knowledge
• Demonstrated ability in identifying, communicating, and implementing best operating practices, including quality, maintenance, production, and safety excellence
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows and Office
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quarry operations
