As Plant Group Leader for Operations, you will be responsible for leading the organization's operations function and developing operational programs, policies, and processes across multiple plants. Your Responsibilities:
Operational Excellence
- Directs the recurring or daily functions or processes necessary for business execution and identification of opportunities for improvement or efficiency gains.
- Oversees short and long-term function, processes and resource needs necessary for business execution and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies
- Determines standards and drives expectations of a zero-loss culture and alignment with all EHS and Food Safety Standards including compliance with company policies, regulatory & quality requirements
- Forecast technology and capital plans to support operational efficiencies
- Develops strategies and priorities meant to assist the business in meeting its critical goals and objectives in the most efficient manner possible.
- Develops strong customer interaction and relationships with other cross-functional parties
- Establishes strategies to drive change through policies or procedures.
- Govern, create and execute operations strategy for group of plants, including aligning and optimizing customer base and raw materials
Financial Planning & Business Strategy
- Identify viable strategic opportunities and risks across team and locations
- Work with Ardent Mills leadership and plant Leadership to define forecasts and strategic plans utilizing data and insights
- Set expectations for performance metrics to highlight cost and revenue opportunities
- Set, monitor, and forecast budgets needed to support plant infrastructure
Leading Teams
- Challenge location leaders to create short- and long-term operating objectives in areas such as cost reduction, quality improvement, new product development and/or integration
- Coach team members for success, including onboarding, on-the-job learning activities, intentional practice, and other development guidance
- Drive a culture of development for team members by considering role requirements, competencies, learning agilities, defined processes, and specific individual development objectives
- Proactively drive performance through regular review of KPIs (leading and lagging), recommend improvements, and track individual and team performance against goals
Essential skills and experience:
- Demonstrated success project managing multiple capital projects, including developing capital plans and managing from planning to completion
- Experience with leadership provided through a team of subordinate managers.
- Extensive experience directing multi plants or business critical functions
- Demonstrated decision-making and Leadership skills
- Has established departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization.
- Has extensive experience with the concepts and principles of one or more related fields or departments.
- Bachelor's degree and at least 10 years of experience, including prior management experience.
- Has contributed to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the department or function in collaboration with senior management.
Other Considerations:
- Ability to visit facilities and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e., safety glasses, protective footwear, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator)
- 40-60% travel required

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION:We provide market-driven base pay, based on skills, abilities, and level of experiences. Our salary ranges are broad, and individual salary will be market competitive based on a candidate’s unique set of skills and level of experience. The starting range for this position is $169,636.94 - $226,253.27, with additional earning potential possible commensurate with experience. Additionally, we believe that our team members are the reason for our success and all team members are incentive eligible with a target based on contribution, company performance, and individual results achieved.
