Job Description
Aethon Energy Operating LLC’s (“Aethon”) Pipeline Specialist is responsible for new facility support, operation, and maintenance of gas pipeline. This role is located in Ringgold, Louisiana.


DUTIES & JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Utilize eMaint for required documentation associated with pigging operations
  • Sample fluids from pipeline systems and coordinate sample results with Corrosion Engineering
  • Develop and maintain a pigging and batch treatment schedule on Aethon’s Pipeline System
  • Perform governmental compliance activities. (PHMSA, State Agencies, EPA, USFS, etc.)
  • Maintain inventory of critical spares associated with pigging facilities necessary to maintain schedule
  • Work closely with field personnel and OCC to plan pigging operations for field
  • Responsible for housekeeping and vegetation control around launchers and receivers
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
  • Train and oversee Aethon and third-party personnel as required
  • Demonstrate basic understanding of natural gas flow dynamics in terms of pressure and velocity
  • Identify report and correct safety and environmental concerns
  • Maintain Veriforce Credentials associated with the regulated pipelines in the area
  • Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives
  • Grease valves and document accordingly in eMaint
  • Oversee maintenance and necessary documentation associated with pigging facilities
  • Assist engineering with any in line inspections performed on the field laterals
  • Work with SCADA consultant and OCC to maintain Cygnet Pigging Screen
  • Perform all work in compliance with Aethon standards, procedures, regulatory, and tariff requirements
  • Participate in the development of O&M Procedures, Site Specific Procedures, project scopes, and work plans
  • Coordinate and monitor the annual pig door inspection program


Requirements


Education & Work Experience:


  • Basic math skills. (Addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in oil & gas production operations.


Technical Skills & Knowledge:


  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, various operating systems, and ability to learn company software
  • Google Earth
  • EMaint
  • Cygnet


Personal & Soft Skills:


  • Ability to work with a team, take direction from supervisors, keep required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules.
  • Ability to work outside in variable environmental conditions around heavy equipment.
  • Ability to work periodic shift work and overtime.
  • Ability to gain and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Ability to organize, plan, prioritize, document and complete work with minimum supervision.


Physical & Other Requirements:


  • Must be able to meet company insurability requirements at all times and hold a valid driver's license with no restriction that would prohibit driving a company vehicle
  • Frequently exposed to changes in outdoor weather conditions
  • May require bending, reaching, working at heights and around moving machinery.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform indoor/outdoor activities, including lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to wear respirator protection and PPE, as required
  • Successful candidate will be able to meet company standard background check specific to individual role prior to employment and will be subject to Company Drug & Alcohol Program and DOT requirements
