GENERAL SUMMARY:
Summary:
The Physician Recruiter will be responsible for executing all phases of physician recruitment from candidate sourcing, marketing, candidate paperwork, candidate interviews, and all related recruitment efforts. Physician Recruiter will coordinate all scheduling, interviewing, travel arrangements and distribution of candidate information to the executive team. Complete on-site interviews, tours, off-site sponsored practice interviews and new start up activities. Recruiter will also be responsible for creating effective recruitment plans, sourcing staff and presenting information to the Medical Staff and the executive team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Under the direction of the Sr. Physician Recruiter and Chief Medical Officer, completes physician candidate intakes, sponsoring group practice profiles, complete screening using physician recruitment software and other necessary recruitment tools to screen and source candidates.
2. Serves as the primary contact for physician candidates throughout the recruitment process, including facilitation of the on-site interview for the candidate, travel arrangements, assistance with position offer, and contract negotiations as needed.
3. Maintains a thorough knowledge base of community services, including schools, spouse employment opportunities, religious opportunities, recreational, and cultural opportunities. Makes connections with community leaders to help coordinate new physician start up activities.
4. Assists with maintains physician component of recruitment website.
5. Assists with advertising and marketing promotions highlighting physician opportunities at Bayhealth.
6. All other duties as assigned, within the scope and range of job responsibilities.
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL:
- Credential
- Education HSDiploma, GED or must pass DE-required GED tests in 90 days
EXPERIENCE:
Required: 5 years’ recruitment experience or similar responsibilities in a large organization managing or coordinating communication between individuals, budgets, staff projects or similar activities requiring excellent interpersonal skills and independent initiative.
Preferred: Direct Physician Recruitment experience in Healthcare Organizations and hospitals. Direct daily contact with MD, and PHD.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL:
- Credential Association of Staff Physician Recruiters 101 Certification related to the position, if applicable.
