Physician Assistant - Rotation

Physician Assistant position in the Department of Emergency Medicine who provides direct health care to patients in the emergency departments of the medical center with emphasis on urgent care level of acuity; works in collaboration with emergency medicine physicians in providing comprehensive emergency care to patients presenting to the emergency departments of OSUMC or East; provides direct health care to emergency department patients in observation status in the Clinical Decision Unit at OSUWMC, under the direct supervision of an attending emergency physician on site; works under the on-site supervision of a practicing licensed physician; performs health assessments, histories and physical examinations; orders diagnostic testing and interprets results; reviews & assesses patient medications; prescribes and evaluates drugs & other treatments; interprets health data variations and risk factors; performs approved indicated procedures; promptly documents all encounters in a fashion meeting the standards set forth by OSUP-EM, LLC. 50% or more hours worked will occur during evening or weekend
