Physical Therapy And Occupational Therapy Aide

Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Aide, UHS Wilson Medical Center United Health Services is seeking a Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Aide to join our WMC Therapy and Rehabilitation Support department at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. This position is benefits eligible. Day 32 $15.05 - 19.57 USD per hour, depending on experience. Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy Aide / Overview Maintains a clean and neat environment on a daily basis, keeps supplies in their proper order, distributes supplies, assists professional staff with patient transports in a timely manner, and assists patients with ambulation and predetermined exercise programs by following instructions accurately. Priority is given to those duties that require patient movement within the system and assisting the professional staff with patient treatment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Has a working knowledge of medical terminology, previous experience in patient care and clerical skills

• CPR certification within first 3 months of employment.

• All work is performed in a department which consists of several clinical rooms and offices, and sometimes requires working in close quarters with other employees. These rooms are all air conditioned as well as heated. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT: As needed, gloves, mask, gown, and other personal protective equipment as per blood and body fluid and isolation precautions.
