Pharmacy Technician, Non-Certified, Days

Responsibilities:

Employee will work 8 hour shifts ranging from 8am-430pm to 930am-6pm and will be required to work an every third weekend rotation.

Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include IV admixture, assisting the pharmacist with the dispensing of medication, working with technology, and deliveries of medications.
• Requires following appropriate guidelines under the supervision of the pharmacist for medication preparation and distribution.
• Supports & assists the Pharmacist in the medication use process by providing safe and efficient medication management & patient care to patients (neonate to geriatric), physicians, employees, and the public.
• Functions in an environment which requires teamwork and flexibility to provide medications to patients.

Non-Certified Pharmacy Technician

• Must be registered with the state (KY) Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician upon start date. You can register for the credential here: Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.
• No experience required.
• Tuition assistance is available for those who qualify to obtain a pharmacy certification through a regionally accredited program.
• Not yet certified? We have opportunities to learn and grow as a pharmacy technician in both the in-patient and retail pharmacies across the Norton Healthcare System.

Certified Pharmacy Technician

• Certified? We have opportunities to work under the full scope of practice as a certified pharmacy technician in both the in-patient and retail pharmacies across the Norton Healthcare System.

• Must be actively registered with the state (KY) Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician upon state date. You can register for the credential here: Kentucky Board of Pharmacy.

• No experience required.
• Must hold an active National Pharmacy Tech Certification (CPHT).
