Pharmacy Technician Ii - Mcr Pharmacy

Summary:
Provides distributive pharmacy services, assistance and support for the registered pharmacist and patients. Acts as a mentor for Level I technicians.

Work Schedule: Full Time Nights (This schedule does require overnights: 2030 - 0700 and will be 7 nights on and 7 nights off)

Responsibilities:
Refills and maintains automated dispensing systems and/or processes incoming prescriptions. Repackages bulk medications. May be responsible for sterile and non-sterile compounding.
Fills medication carts on a daily basis and/or processes and fills prescription orders.
Prepares orders and maintains inventory for the pharmacy department and/or assists with shelving and stocking of medications
Audits medication inventory for expiration.

Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

• Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Required Licensure/Certification: PHAT (Pharmacy Technician) certification from State Board of Pharmacy. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT). Minimum Experience: None required.

The pay range for this position is: $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.
