Job Description
CarepathRx transforms hospital pharmacy from a cost center into an active revenue generator through a powerful combination of technology, market-leading pharmacy services and wrap-around services.
Job Details:
The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting pharmacists, managers, directors, and front-line client support in providing quality patient care and customer service.
Position Description: The Pharmacy Technician coordinates with the Director of Clinical Services and Telepharmacy Support Specialist (TSS) Manager to facilitate pharmacy clinical programs and services, support telepharmacy operations and assist the TSS team. In addition to completing the duties outlined in the TSS job description, the Pharmacy Technician may assist in other roles and projects as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services and TSS Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with TSS staffing services including order triaging, phone call answering and other duties as assigned by the Director of Clinical Services,TSS Manager and TSS Supervisor.
  • Assist pharmacists through queue monitoring, data entry and prescription transcription in Pharmacy Information Systems, submit insurance claims, transferring prescriptions in accordance with applicable laws, etc.
  • Assist with clinical services, such as medication reconciliation, prior authorization, refill authorization, etc.
Requirements
  • Proficiency with office technology tools, to include MS Office 2000 or later, internet, and email
  • Open availability for emergency assistance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate effectively via email and phone
  • Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician educational program, preferred
  • Experience with project coordination
  • Experience with medication reconciliation
  • Experience with prescription data entry, preferred
  • Experience with Google G-Suite, preferred
  • Able to work independently
  • National Certification & State licenses are required
Skills & Abilities
  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently during the day.
  • IT secure office environment that is fully compliant with HIPAA, ARRA/HITECH, Federal and State regulations.
