Pfs Scanner Indexer - Full Time

Required Education and Experience: High School graduate or equivalent required. Must possess the ability to work within general and plan guidelines. Ability to prioritize and be able to produce an acceptable volume of work. Ability to assess a situation and decide the best course of action. Be able to communicate ideas in a clear and concise manner. Use interpersonal skills effectively to communicate with internal co-workers Additional Eligibility Qualifications: Basic knowledge of Windows based computer applications. Be able to operate the following equipment: computer, copier, fax, and 10-key calculator. Professional appearance and manner. Essential Functions Prepares batches for scanning by removing all staples, counting number of EOBs to be scanned. Pulls any unnecessary pages from batch that do not require scanning and places in back of batch. Flags any long, short or two-sided EOBs and stamps each batch. Monitors batches when being scanned to ensure that two pages do not go through at the same time. Initials and dates each batch after scanning where indicated on stamp. Once batch is scanned, locates batch on Application Xtender or Kofax system and indexes batch using the date of deposit and the IDX batch number. After indexing, signs and dates batch cards, initials batch log sheet indicating batch has been indexed, and puts all batches into the pouches in deposit date order. Makes sure that all batches are accounted for and have been scanned and indexed. Adheres to guidelines set by the Clinics Compliance Program, following all Health Care Regulatory Laws on medical coding, billing and reporting of compliance issues. Maintains confidentiality of Clinic materials. Refrains from discussing or releasing confidential information except with individuals legally entitled to such information and as specifically authorized for release.
