Pediatric Occupational Therapist Jobs

Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of children as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist? The Utah State Hospital has an Occupational Therapist opening in our pediatric units! In this position you will evaluate children for a variety of concerns including: cognition, development, feeding/swallowing, handwriting, visual, gross and fine motor skills, occupation, participation, well being, sensory, social, emotional, and behavioral skills using established and recognized pediatric protocols and standards. The selected OT will function as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will regularly counsel and consult with other members of the team.
Ideal Candidate
The perfect candidate for this position will have:

• Experience working with mentally ill pediatric patients.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to perform the physical duties of the position, which requires physical strength and exertion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Occupational Therapist license from the Utah Department of Occupational Licensing.
• Thorough knowledge of relevant techniques, treatment methods and equipment.
