Job Title: Pediatric Echocardiographer


Location: Minneapolis, MN 55454


Shift/Schedule: 8am - 4:30pm Monday Friday, 13 Weeks


Travel Rate: $80 - $85/Hr.


Local Rate: $62 - $67/Hr.


Holiday Rate: $123-$128


Hours Per Week: 40


Hours Per Day: 8


Days Per Week: 5

Duties: University of Minnesota Health Heart Care is a team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, advanced practitioners, nurses and healthcare professionals committed to providing lifesaving care to people with heart disease. Our heart specialists and their teams build upon a 60-year legacy of clinical care, research and innovation, including the world's first open-heart surgery.


We've transformed lives with major advances in valve replacements, transplants, cardiac resuscitation, and other techniques to treat heart disease. We bring together a deep understanding of academic medicine and advanced clinical care to tailor our therapies to each patient's individual condition.


Skills


  • Ability to provide relevant echocardiographic data, making quantitative calculations and communicating the impressions for the physicians.
  • Knowledge of the 3 major categories of corrective procedures and the variations encountered.
  • Shifts are: Day shifts working Monday Friday. No Call.
  • Evaluate pediatric patients with complex congenital heart disease.by having extensive knowledge of the incidence, causes, inheritance patterns, and pathologic consequences of congenital malformations.
  • Participates in quality assurance activities and research studies as needed
  • Evaluate the cardiac status by using a logical and systematic approach to analyze the heart and related structures segmentally: Thoracoabdominal situs, Cardiac Position, Atrial Situs, Atrioventricular connection, Ventricular Morphology, Ventriculoarterial connection
  • Ability to evaluate complex fetal cardiac anatomy and physiology
  • Knowledge and understanding of surgical procedures for the repair or partial repair of congenital heart disease and the various modifications encountered for different congenital disorders.
  • Performs non-invasive cardiac diagnostic imaging using ultrasound technology to aid the physician in the diagnosis and treatment of congenital and acquired cardiac diseases.


Education


Required Qualifications:


  • License/Certification/Registration: Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) - pediatric, BLS
  • Associates Degree in Echocardiography
