Job Description

Opportunity to join the team at a biotechnology research company! In this role, you will support the payroll system conversion for international and multi-state employees and work autonomously to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects the company’s pay policies and complies with payroll tax laws and regulations. This is a hybrid, 4–6-month temp. assignment!


QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and possess interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll
  • International payroll experience preferred
  • Proven experience processing payroll for a growing organization, knowledge of international payroll is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Payroll experience with ADP Workforce Now required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for payroll duties ensuring accuracy of all employees pay, time off records, benefits deductions, commissions, and allowances, specifically:

Submit payroll timely and accurately with ability to meet strict payroll deadline

Accurately process employee information including hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes and other information

Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, and other deductions

Resolve any payroll issues in a timely manner

  • Assists with audits, compliance reporting and related documentation
  • Serves as liaison with third party payroll vendors and assists with implementations or upgrades as needed
  • Conducts audits of payroll, benefits or other HR programs and identifies corrective action required
  • Maintains accurate records of payroll processes and procedures
  • Provide overall support and back-up of administrative tasks for HR department

PAY TRANSPARENCY POLICY STATEMENT

Compensation for roles at Suna Solutions varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific client, office or remote location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Suna Solutions provides a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that Suna Solutions reasonably expects to pay for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, New York City or Washington as set forth below.
