Job Description
KORE1, a nationwide provider of staffing and recruiting solutions, has an immediate opening for a Payment Poster in San Gabriel Valley!


Essential Functions:


  • Maintains confidentiality of patient care and business matters.
  • Experience with on‐line Accounts Receivable system (SMS system experience a plus)
  • Verify expected reimbursement and adjustment based upon the provided contract list
  • Work product and performance meets quality standards.
  • Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office but essentially strong in Excel
  • Proven knowledge at reading and interpreting Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements
  • Reconcile and log completed batches to Filemaker
  • Applies payments and adjustments to patient accounts based on explanation of benefits and contractual guidelines
  • Observes time, attendance, and dress code standards.
  • Medi‐Cal ‐ Must be able to post minimum of 8,100 transactions per month
  • Posts payments, transfers any remaining balances to the appropriate party, and makes any needed adjustments
  • Lockbox ‐ Must be able to post minimum of 6,300 transactions per month
  • Demonstrates respect and positive interpersonal skills with patients, clients, the public, managers, and co‐workers-a team player.
  • Extensive knowledge of insurance carrier procedures
  • Employee will be responsible for posting manual and electronic insurance payments in a fast-paced team environment
  • Identify all insurance payments as applicable to patient accounts
  • Protects the safety of others and of the physical plant and equipment, following institution policies, fire, safety and infection control regulations
  • Minimum 1‐2 years of experience performing follow‐up to patient accounts relative to professional fee billing functions
  • Identify and calculate no or low payments by posting the correct adjustment reason and/or payment/adjustment note to initiate appeals process
  • High School graduate or equivalent
