- Providing information and directions to patients and visitors.
- Complies with infection control standards.
- Delivering laboratory specimens, medical equipment, supplies, and mail
- Complying with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
- Ensuring patients are comfortable and safe during transit.
- Ensuring all confidentiality and privacy rights of residents are observed
- Maintaining accurate daily logs
- Assisting patients or lifting patients into wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Monitoring the scheduling system for transport requests and completing them promptly
- Offering support, encouragement, and solace to patients.
- Supports and promotes the Mission, Vision, and Values; adheres to all hospital policies and procedures; commits to the Standards of Conduct; maintains professional appearance.
- Transporting patients to various locations in the hospital for medical procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a hospital setting is favorable
- Reliable time-management and punctuality.
- BLS Certified
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including customer service, patience, empathy and compassion
- Physical strength and stamina
- Effective communication skills, including active listening, writing, speaking and reading comprehension
