Position Overview

The Patient Access Application Analyst/Cadence/Prelude Analyst supports the mission of OCHIN by configuring and supporting the patient access ambulatory applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software for our member clinics. This role consults with members to provide solutions that offer accurate, secure, and efficient patient care and provider workflows, medical and billing information for patients providers and clinics, and usage of Epic front desk application and related ancillary services, with a focus on quality outcomes for our member organizations.

Essential Duties

  • Perform routine build and configuration in Epic and related products.
  • Act as Level 2 technical support for many ancillary integrated products. This entails:

o Collecting and resolving issues

o Coordinating with Help Desk on JIRA resolution

o Helping the product owner to put together agendas for vendor calls

o Representing OCHIN on vendor calls from a technical perspective

  • Lead trainings and workgroups for members.
  • Develop and share workflow best practices.
  • Provide process improvements within your application or team.
  • Mentor, coach, and train less experienced analysts.
  • Operate alongside the Member Care Team framework, being a key contributor to the overall goals of the team support model.
  • Collaborate with members from other OCHIN teams to address integration issues.
  • Provide elbow support to clinic staff during Go-Lives and Mock clinics as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Assist Project Managers in identifying system capabilities.
  • Document build specifications, team processes and complex clinic workflows.
  • Travel to support off-site software installations as needed.
  • Discuss and provide workflow solutions and ensure understanding of the system through hands on training.
  • Build, design, test, and document functionality of new system features.
  • QA complex builds, Service Update (SU) modifications, and other work orders.
  • Serve as internal advisor to other analyst as the lead working sessions with OCHIN members to resolve advanced and complex integration work orders and support issues.
Requirements:
  • Work history in Healthcare IT is required.
  • Epic Cadence and/or Prelude certification is required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in similar or relevant role
  • Process and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Strong communication skills – able to communicate with both application and technical team members, as well as end users.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and solution oriented.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or a combination of college education and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have 1 year experience building in Cadence/Prelude

Base Pay Overview

The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint ($96,544), with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
