Job Description
Position: Part-time Housekeeper/Laundress
Schedule: 2 days per week (Tues. & Thurs. or Tues. & Fri.), 9am 5pm
Location: New York, NY
Salary: $35/hour

General Responsibilities:
  • Clean inside of cabinets
  • Stock control and inventory of daily foods (yogurt, milk, fruits, OJ) and pantry staples (peanut butter, butter, flour, sugar, bottled water), when homeowner is in residence
  • Errands as needed
  • Check and maintain housekeeping tools and supply inventory and report any needs
  • Deep clean stoves, hoods, vent, and controls
  • Provide museum quality care for antiques, delicate surfaces, and fine linens
  • Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected and notify the homeowner of any damages, deficits, and disturbances
  • Review and polish shoes and accessories, as needed
  • Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing
  • Sweep and tidy terrace as needed
  • Wipe outside kitchen / pantry cabinets
  • Wash bedding as needed, press pillowcases and top sheet entirely
  • Regularly cleaning of the refrigerator and freezer, and discarding out-of-date and spoiled products
  • Wash (sometimes hand wash), iron, all clothing; review and maintain wardrobes ensuring all clothing is placed in the correct closets and drawers
