Provide superior customer service, work stock to the floor and keep the department well-presented and full. Must have good work ethic, superior customer service skills and ability to work independently with speed and accuracy. This position is physical, on your feet and fast paced. This position includes the requirement to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, climb and balance.

Requirements:Department Operations
- Assist the Buyers with various inventory management projects, as needed
- Organize and work back-stock to assure an effective operational environment
- Stock and fill shelves to maintain a high standard of product that is rotated, fronted, and faced
Merchandising
- Provide product information for customers and staff.
- Build and maintain clean and attractive promotional displays.
Department Maintenance
- Follow USDA and NH State Law regarding the use, labeling and handling of allergens
- Adhere to the department cleaning schedule
- Ensure that department areas (aisles, shelves, bins and storage areas) are in clean, orderly condition, meeting or exceeding health department standards
- Ensure proper storage and labeling procedures as per health department and organic standards
- Follow standard Sanitation Operating Procedures schedule including: deep cleaning schedules, good health department scores, pest awareness and control, equipment maintenance
- Participate in inventory counts as directed by management
Qualifications
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers
- Ability to be mobile throughout entire shifts
- Effective communication skills to listen and to give clear directions in English
- Regularly lift 50lbs safely
- Experience serving the public
- Familiarity and knowledge of current trends in the natural foods industry
- Will be required to use step stools, step ladders, box cutters and pricing tools.
- Bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
- Operate equipment such as hand trucks, U boats, pallet jack
