Job Description
Stellar Solutions is seeking a Parts, Materials and Processes Engineer to support our Civil, Commercial, Defense and/or Intelligence Customers as part of a highly talented, highly motivated and high-performing team. As part of the technical team, you will support exciting new and existing programs which involve design, development, test, and deployment of complex space systems. As a subject matter expert on Parts, Materials and Processes, you will contribute to architectural and mission success of space systems that will be utilized by a variety of government and commercial stakeholders.


In this role, you will


  • Coordinates resolution of issues with suppliers and customers
  • Coordinate and characterize material and process qualifications of piece parts, assemblies, processes, and materials to meet customer/program requirements
  • Generate and execute test plans, identifies and categorizes failures, determines root cause and documents results and recommendations
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret or higher security clearance, thus US Citizenship is required
  • Recommend material selection and configuration/process improvements to address product reliability/quality/lifecycle survivability improvements
  • Prepare Engineering Reports, Qualification Reports and Product Design Review Documents and make effective presentations
  • Recommend Electrical/ Electronic/ Electromechanical (EEE) parts and materials required for Space environmental effects
  • Generate required programmatic analyses, such as radiation, power, mass, EMC, reliability/FMEA, and DFMAT analyses to optimize the product design
  • Translate customer requirements into documentation for parts, materials and procurement plan
  • Utilize knowledge of electronics and/or environmental test to support programs from design analysis and verification test plan definition through manufacturing implementation and final test and delivery to customer


Required Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)


  • 5+ years of experience leading or managing Corrective Actions or Root Cause Analysis
  • 5+ years of experience analyzing and presenting technical data (oral or written)
  • 5+ years of experience in EEE parts selection
  • 5+ years of experience in DPA and reliability/failure/contamination analyses (part, unit, system) and test
  • Master's degree or higher in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or Material Science


Desired Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)


  • 10 or more years of experience in Mission Assurance
  • 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

The typical pay range for this position is USD $74,000 - $100,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).


Stellar Solutions is seeking a Signals Formation Analyst. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting SIGINT signals analysis and signals formation supporting the development, definition, analysis, and/or evaluation of project, system, or subsystem requirements and performance. Regular travel may be a requirement for this position.


Required Knowledge, skills and abilities


  • Extensive knowledge and experience with space system performance, orbit determination, geodesy and modeling
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Basic understanding of signal formation algorithms in terms of ground processing (i.e. link, merge, geolocate)
  • Ability to conduct SIGINT signals analysis at interactive Pre-D and Post-D level to characterize the environment; including modulation, symbol rate, framing, randomizers, forward error correction, and other signal parametrics including Radio Signal Notation (RASIN) derived through waveform and bit-level analysis as well as pulse repetition interval(PRI), pulse duration (PD), pulse modulation types (Stagger, Dwell & Switch, etc.), scan type and rates, and other signal parametrics including ELINT Notation (ELNOT) derived through pulse level analysis
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to integrate, design tests and evaluate results for complex aerospace systems
  • Ability to understand engineering requirements and develop test procedures to validate test cases
  • Perform statistical comparison to prove signals to be in family of desired results
  • Thorough understanding of SIGINT auto processing
  • Develop detailed signal formation test cases to satisfy Mission Operational Transition Plan(MOTP)
  • Security Clearance TS/SCI with Poly
  • Experience in large technology/system development organizations
  • Competent/familiar with current SIGINT analytic tool suites to include CBET, ASPEN/Flexible Flyer, MARTES/Willow or equivalent. FADE/MIST skills would be a plus
  • Knowledge of NRO, DoD, and Intelligence Community (IC) organizations and missions
  • Ability to conduct manual geolocation of signals
  • Must be proficient in SIGINT signal types and characterization


Desired qualifications


  • Candidates should have a proven ability to effectively work with a large team of Government, FFRDC and SETA contractors as well as major developmental contractors
  • Applicants should be able to convey complex technical and programmatic issues concisely to senior management, and be a flexible and creative problem solver
  • Applicants should have a B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a technical field such as Physics, Math, or Astronautics. Candidates with equivalent educational background and demonstrated experience will be considered


The typical pay range for this position is USD $160,000 - $190,000 per year, total package. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, retirement plan and other benefits (all included as part of package).
