Job Description

Regal Boats is seeking a motivated self-starter to join our team as a Parts Manager in the boat manufacturing industry. In addition to overseeing traditional parts management and responsibilities, the Parts Manager will play a crucial role in launching our online parts sales via e-commerce. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in parts management, excellent knowledge of boat parts and accessories, and a proven track record in e-commerce operations

Key Responsibilities

Parts Inventory Management
Develop and implement effective strategies for managing parts inventory to ensure optimal stock levels for both traditional and online sales.
Monitor inventory levels, identify parts shortages or excesses, and take appropriate actions to maintain an adequate inventory.
Utilize inventory management software to track and analyze parts usage, turnover rates, and reorder points specific to both traditional and e-commerce sales.
Conduct regular physical inventories and reconcile any discrepancies.
E-Commerce Launch and Management
Collaborate with the management team to develop and execute a comprehensive plan for launching our online parts sales platform.
Research and select suitable e-commerce platforms or vendors to facilitate online sales.
Coordinate the creation and maintenance of an online parts catalog, ensuring accurate product descriptions, pricing, and availability.
Implement effective inventory synchronization processes between the online platform and physical store to prevent overselling or stockouts.
Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to drive online traffic and promote online parts sales.
Parts Ordering and Receiving
Identify parts needs based on production schedules, repair requests, and projected demand for both traditional and online sales.
Place orders with suppliers and ensure timely delivery of boat parts and accessories.
Inspect incoming parts for accuracy, quality, and condition, and resolve any discrepancies with suppliers.
Organize and maintain a well-structured receiving system to ensure efficient processing and storage of parts for both traditional and online sales.
Parts Distribution
Coordinate the distribution of parts to various departments within the manufacturing facility, as well as to customers for online sales.
Monitor and track parts requests, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment for both traditional and online orders.
Maintain an organized and easily accessible parts storage area for efficient retrieval and inventory control.
Implement effective procedures for returning defective or surplus parts and manage related documentation.
Team Management
Supervise and provide guidance to parts department staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork, collaboration, and customer service excellence.
Delegate tasks and ensure smooth workflow within the department.
Conduct regular meetings and training sessions to keep the team informed and updated on industry trends, e-commerce best practices, and online sales strategies.
Ensures manufacturing operations are in accordance with Regal's Safety Standards, including:
Ensure that workplaces are safe and employees follow proper safety procedures
Be proactive in preventing safety related incidents
Create awareness of safe behavior and teach required skills for working safely
Ensure employees have the proper tools and equipment, including PPE, to work safely and prevent accidents


Required Qualifications
Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and operations, including product catalog management, inventory synchronization, and digital marketing.
Proficiency in inventory management software and other relevant computer systems.

Preferred Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business administration or a related field is preferred.
Proven experience (2 years) in parts management or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of parts and accessories, including identification, compatibility, and pricing.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Leadership and team management capabilities.

Work Environment
Must be able to work in a non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature reaching over 100 degrees fahrenheit at times.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to climb into and out of the boats using stairs. The employee must frequently be able to lift 50 pounds, work 10 hour days with most of the time being on your feet, and work overtime, whether planned or unplanned.
