Job Description
Gold Bar Nature Trails(GBNT) is a recreation campground located in Gold Bar


Washington. The object of GBNT is to cultivate social interaction among the


membership, establish, develop and maintain recreational facilities and programs in


in order to improve the member’s health, physical and mental condition. To promote


friendship, sociability, and culture among the membership. To organize, equip and


operate a campground for the pleasure and recreation of the Club’s members, and in


connection therewith to maintain a clubhouse, activity center, swimming pools, tennis


courts, and any other means of recreation which the directors of the corporation may


deem advisable.


Job Purpose: The purpose of the Park Manager’s job is to manage and supervise the daily


operations and personnel of the park, and to support supervisors in personnel decisions. To


maintain park assets and, when directed, orchestrate park improvements through solid project


management. To create a friendly and kind environment for the members while also enforcing


the rules and regulations of the park for the enjoyment of all.


Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions


Inspects Park and park facilities to ensure proper care and maintenance of


property and make recommendations regarding needed improvements or


measures necessary to protect the natural environment and park.


Oversees the service, repair, and safety of park buildings, roads, trails, and


facility grounds as required by local, state, and federal government, ordinances,


and regulations.


Oversees a checklist of vehicles and other equipment maintenance.


Responsible for creation and implementation of a Periodic Maintenance tracker


to ensure park tools, equipment and vehicles are kept in good working order.


Responsible for creation of a Scope of Work, oversight of RFP creation, bidding


process and management of all park related projects as approved by the BOD.


Responsible for creating and maintaining a project request log for use by the long


range planning committee. This should include a brief project scope, the reason


for the project, a requested date of start and expected completion.


Job Duties


Works with appropriate Snohomish County Health and other departments;


outside contractors, and businesses as needed to ensure proper guidelines and


regulations are followed with regard to but not limited to water testing, permits,


tree removal, septic, plumbing, electrical, construction of new facilities, and the


park’s Conditional Use Permit.


Holds monthly staff meetings and safety meetings with agenda and documents in


meeting files.

Holds monthly security meetings with agenda and notifies the Board Liaison to


attend.


Responsible for providing BOD monthly updates of progress, cost updates and


potential issues.


Works directly with the Board of Directors to ensure that the park’s Bylaws and


Rules & Regulations, and policies are enforced.


Issues warnings, violations, and follow through with existing violations process in


accordance with approved bylaws, rules & regulations of GBNT.


Monitors Park radio and responds to emergency calls while on duty. Calls in


outside help such as the police or fire department as needed.


Maintains records regarding park operations. Prepares purchase orders and


purchases supplies and equipment as needed.


Attends monthly Board of Directors Open meetings(4th Saturday of each month)


and prepares a Park Manager Report for the Board Meeting and article for the


Bi-Monthly GBNT Newsletter.


Demonstrates strategic thinking and continuous effort to improve operations,


decrease turnaround times, streamline work process, work cooperatively and


jointly to provide excellent service to park members


Communicates immediate issues with BOD members by phone to the President


and by email to the entire BOD.


Perform annual inventory of all Park owned property including equipment, tools,


supplies, furniture in, but not limited to the office, shop, manager’s residence,


kitchen, adult and youth centers, and ballpark. Maintains accurate records of


purchases and disposal of property.


Issues permits to members and inspects membership lots and buildings for


compliance as directed by GBNT Bylaws, Rules & Regulations and CUP.


Provide all employees with a current copy of the Employee Handbook and files


the signed receipt in the Employee’s Personnel file.


Completes annual performance reviews of Park employees in August. Assures


that accurate personnel records are maintained in personnel files such as record


of attendance, reprimands, grievances, correspondence from employees,


performance reviews, wage increases, and promotions.


Attendance/Punctuality - Is on time and prepared for project or reporting


deadlines and meetings

bylaws, rules & regulations and the employee handbook


Learn job-related material primarily through oral instruction and observation. This


learning takes place mainly in an on-the-job setting.


Work cooperatively with others.


Ability to operate or learn to operate and park vehicles, equipment, power tools and facilities in


a knowledgeable and safe manner.


Utilizing the Google suite of programs is required. A working knowledge


Quickbooks is highly desirable.

Requirements


Bachelor Degree in Business Management or 5 years management


experience.


Minimum of five years in a supervisory position


Present a professional, positive, and helpful attitude at all times.


Adapt to changes in the work environment; effectively manage competing


demands


Possess a valid Washington State driver's license with an acceptable driving


record; valid CPR and First Aid Cards.


Physical Demands


Regularly performs activities such as standing, sitting, walking, squatting, or


bending.


Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move heavy objects up to 50 lbs or with two


person lift assist.

Work Conditions


Exposed to noise, vibration, dust, exhaust fumes, and other hazardous and
