Job Description

We are growing! Multiple positions are open.

Position starts at $20.67, full rate of $21.95 after 90 days with an outstanding benefits package to include 100% 401(k) match.

This position operates and monitors the packaging machines so as to deliver quality and quantity materials as needed. All procedures and practices used are grounded in standards, regulations and laws addressing occupational safety (OSHA), building and electrical codes, and food safety and food quality (FDA) in addition to environmental safety (EPA) in accordance with Safe Quality Food (SQF) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Reports to the production team lead.

Operates and regulates packaging equipment as needed; cleans packaging equipment; inserts boxes into box forming machines or subs or cans; oversees and regulates the filling of the boxes with equipment; inspects (quality checks) the boxes to verify they are properly formed and sealed; oversees machine is operating properly so that no line jams occur; corrects any line jams that do occur; palletizes finished good on automated lines; general housekeeping of work area to keep it neat; effectively communicates with co-workers, supervising staff and outside resources verbally and in writing; is discreet in use of Company confidential information; reports errors/incidents/problems to appropriate persons; and performs other duties as assigned by lead; follows and enforces standards for food safety and food quality production reflected in SQF as well as the regulations of major vendors and governmental agencies such as OSHA, FDA and EPA. Must complete training in these standards and comply with all requirements.

Must be able to do light to moderate lifting up to 40 lbs. Must have use of both hands and legs and able to use fingers (manual dexterity for small detailed work. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, squat, sit and stand for various periods of time. Must wear appropriate uniform and follow GMP’s. Must be willing to use cleaning chemicals for cleaning purposes and complete training for the use of cleaning chemicals.
