Job Description

The Packaging and Automation Engineer is responsible for manufacturing engineering projects that involved with packaging and automation. They will lead packaging and automation projects for multiple locations within the organization.

  • · Develop operational procedures as well as training for production personnel.
  • · Develop Request for Proposal documents for design and installation of process and packaging equipment.
  • · Travel to provide onsite support for project reviews, commissioning, qualifications, and line trials.
  • · Support the conceptualization, design, and validation of new and innovative packaging solutions.
  • · Identify and implement cost saving initiatives related to packaging materials and processes.
  • · Makes sure all system risk assessments are completed according to the industrial standards.
  • · Direct internal and external resources to produce deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  • · Assess and review existing packaging lines’ design and operations.
  • · Develop engineering solutions, designs, project plans and budgets for packaging and production automation projects.
  • · Specify and/or purchase major process and packaging equipment.
  • · Develop and execute a test plan to validate compliance with requirements.
  • · Administer and control packaging line design, and installations.

Requirements

  • · Experience in project management.
  • · Education: BS degree in Engineering.
  • · Three-5 years of relevant process experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • · Knowledge of OSHA regulations and packaging design validation standards (ISO, ASTM, etc.).
