Charlotte Pipe and Foundry , located in Huntsville, AL is looking for Packaging Operators with a proven track record to join our team. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is a leading manufacturer of pipe and fittings. We are the only manufacturer that offers a complete system of cast iron, PVC, CPVC, ABS and FlowGuard Gold® pipe and fittings for residential and commercial plumbing systems and industrial applications. Charlotte Pipe and Foundry is seeking a full-time Packaging Operator. In this position, you will inspect parts for proper quality, clean and pack parts in boxes for shipment in a productive and expedient manner. This position requires that the operator understand quality standards and utilize certain hand tools.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to work 12 hour shifts (including weekends and holidays)
Submit to and successfully complete background check and pre-employment drug test
Computer and mechanical ability preferred
Excellent safety and attendance record
Ability to provide personal hand tools
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned
Identify and separate poor quality parts.
Pack molded parts in boxes.
Lift and carry full boxes of parts from molding machine to pallet (approx. 2 ft.)
Label boxes
Assemble molded parts.
Keep work area up to 5S housekeeping standards.
Barcode Parts correctly
Adjust case erectors and case sealers as needed.
Maintain constant state of alertness and ability to safely perform all job duties.
Work effectively and efficiently with coworkers
Productively receive information from Material Handlers regarding work related information
Other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
