Job Description
28 bed Inpatient psychiatric unit acute care crisis stabilization
Caring for adult patients ages 18 years of age and older Care is provided to the following patients: with chronic mental illness, with a situational crisis that results in suicidal thoughts or actions, with a combination of mental illness and substance abuse issues
Nursing staff ratio is 1:4 or 1:5. We use a shared scheduling model with every other weekend and every other holiday required. We staff in 8 hour blocks of time. The unit is team focused. The ideal candidate is someone who has strong psychiatric assessment skills and is able to remain calm and professional in all circumstances. The leadership team consists of an Operations Director, a clinical team manager, 2 team coordinators and 1 nurse educator.
Shift: 2 8s and 2 12s (8s on the weekend) every other weekend every other holiday
