Summary


The primary purpose of this position is to drive the analysis and recommendations related to proactively managing inventory levels where replicated inventory and inventory in storage exists between distribution centers. The person is this role would need to apply judgement and critical thinking skills in making decisions and communicating sound resolutions for inventory transfers and minimum inventory levels; as well as provide concise analytical reporting utilized to make major business decisions regarding current and future DC inventory plans. The OM Inventory Analyst is responsible for proactively analyzing and balancing replicated inventory levels between distribution centers based on the inventory minimum level as well as customer and building requirements; while managing identified on hand inventory and minimum SKU quantities at the default plant to support non-split ship projected volume as well as volume needed at the replicated distribution center. This person is responsible for clearly articulating stock put-away prioritization and initiating stock transfers while strategizing the most productive process that aligns with our revenue targets. The person in this role is responsible for recommending materials for replication based on the Demand Plan by Business Unit as well as executing the replicated material set up and set up for accounts that allow split shipments.

Responsibilities


  • Execute standardized reports as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis used to make business decisions related to the replicated inventory and inventory in storage strategies.
  • Monitoring of inventory at all Distribution Centers to identify product in the incorrect DC; collaborate with the DC Planning Team to execute the physical transfer of the inventory.
  • Recommend materials to add for replication based on customer and building requirements; collaborate with DC Planning and Master Data to execute material additions.
  • Actively participate in testing of system functionality and reporting tools in relation to replicated inventory.
  • Support forward looking, ad-hoc data analysis required to manage the expansion of replicated inventory assortment across buildings and/or customers and business units in partnership with the data science and DC planning teams.
  • Coordinate and/or execute special projects as requested by Leadership.
  • Clearly articulate inventory put-away prioritization based on customer needs.
  • Partner with the Data Science Team to create and implement reports based on changing business needs.
  • Seasonal review of accounts as well as review of new accounts to determine split/non-split order eligibility by collaborating with Sales, Vendor Compliance and the DC Planning Teams; execute the required system set up at the account ship to level.
  • Assist the DC Planning team with validation of PO redirects to support anticipated inventory levels for split/non-split orders at each Distribution Center.
  • Monitor the inventory plan to ensure smooth product flow that aligns with our revenue targets.
  • Monitor Order Orchestration results in collaboration with the Order Management Analysts to ensure orders are flowing to maximize the capacity at each Distribution Center
  • Analyze replicated SKU inventory to identify inventory imbalances and overall inventory levels; take action to request physical stock transfers in partnership with DC planning or initiate business unit segment transfers.
  • Monitor and manage the minimum SKU quantity on hand at our default Distribution Center to support non-split order projected volume as well as our replicated Distribution Centers to support split order projected volume.
  • Coordinate efforts with Distribution Centers, Customer Care, Sales, Planning, Supply Chain Ops, Material Master and Customer Master.
  • Mange inventory to identify On Hand levels at our Distribution Centers; avoid low and overstock situations by Business Unit.


Education


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required in Business or Related Field


Required Skills And Experience


  • Experience in SAP and WM recommended.
  • Experience with Sales Order Processing, Distribution Center operations and/or Warehouse Management systems and how they fit together to provide product in support of customer and business requirements.
  • Available for flexible scheduling, including weekends and evenings.
  • A minimum of 4 years combined Logistics, Inventory, Operations Management or Inventory Control experience required.
  • Strong organizational, prioritization and multitasking capabilities – work in fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven record of working in a team-focused environment while maintaining the ability to exercise considerable independent judgement – self-motivated while working with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Customer service focused and results oriented.
  • Experience with relevant computer applications required including Data Warehouse, MS Office (advanced Excel) and Outlook.
  • Strong business acumen skills: strategic thinking, leadership, market orientation, analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, detail oriented.
