We have an opportunity for a Multi-Site Plant Manager to join our Manitowoc, Wisconsin based team. You will build talent, address key operational performance challenges, and implement sustainable standard practices through lean fundamentals. Expected results will be sustainable improvements in safety, productivity, quality, on time delivery and inventory turns for the locations. This is an operations leadership role reporting into the Business Unit Operations Leader with direct responsibility over the Manitowoc, Wisconsin and Monterrey, Mexico sites. You Will
- Direct and manage the establishment and maintenance of material replenishment methods, quality standards and performance metrics in support of the organizational goals and objectives.
- Drive a continuous improvement philosophy utilizing Lean Manufacturing fundamentals.
- Develop the team to maintain and enhance a competitive edge and service to the customer.
- Lead and mentor managers and supervisors in their development within our Company’s Culture. Develop and improve the skills, knowledge and abilities of the managers and supervisors to ensure strong succession planning.
- Establish a leadership climate that fosters collaboration across the enterprise. Assist the enterprise in lean application.
- Lead safety awareness and implement new and innovative techniques to assure a safe working environment.
- Meet and exceed year over year financial targets through active continuous improvement projects and driving material and non-material cost out of the business while driving accountability for the overall P&L.
- Manage all areas using Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Cash metrics
- Serve as a critical business leadership representative in the customer escalation process to communicate clearly with key distributors and end-users.
- Establish and maintain high visibility to employees and create a safe environment for participation.
- 5+ years of P&L responsibilities.
- BA or BS in Operations Management, Business, Engineering or related field. Masters strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel up to Monterrey, Mexico up to 30%.
- 3+ years of proven experience as a multisite manager. Past international or maquiladora experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.
- 5+ years in a Manufacturing Leadership Role or equivalent.
- English fluency and Spanish a plus.
- Understanding of program/project management fundamentals.
