Young Scholars Academy is looking for an operations manager to propel our children’s program into its next stage of growth!

Young Scholars Academy (YSA) is a virtual enrichment school that helps twice-exceptional-- the co-occurrence of exceptional strengths (giftedness) and exceptional struggles (learning differences)-- students to feel seen, nurtured, and happy as heck through strength-based courses, camps, and community!

You will be the right-hand person to the director in propelling Young Scholars Academy to its fullest potential.

You will serve as a conduit for company-wide operational information, front-end work including the annual budget and content planning, back-end work in website design, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, content management, Learning Management System (LMS) software, and membership site management systems.


What you’ll bring to the company:

  • Ability to make and advise on strategic business decisions regularly in concert with the director
  • Experience with content planning, back-end work in website design, CRM, content management, and LMS
  • Impeccable attention to detail (for bonus points, feel free to use the word zenith, elucidate, or wherewithal in your response to question three to show off your attention to detail).
  • Flexibility and excitement to partner with a fast-paced and idea-driven entrepreneur. A “doer” partnering with a “dreamer”.
  • Experience with membership spaces, enrollment management, teacher and/or client management is a plus
  • Experience in EdTech, virtual learning, and education
  • Creative, unconventional problem-solving skills with an open mind to build, measure, and learn while failing, pivoting, and trying again
  • 1-3 years of experience in project and operations management
  • Familiar with agile methods and agile management
  • New ways to market and increase conversion and manage the whole sales funnel
  • Experience with budgeting and financial forecasting
  • Ability to set, prioritize, and track weekly, monthly quarterly, and annual goals and projects with focus
  • Experience in education/psychology field--> Background and familiarity with the unique needs of twice-exceptional, neurodivergent learners*
  • Flexible and excited to wear multiple hats
  • Ability to increase profit

Available for:

  1. 15-minute morning standup meetings Monday through Friday
  2. 3-5 hours meetings a week
  3. Regular availability to check in on goals and progress via voice memo and email
  4. 20 hours of project work per week geared towards projects that grow a promising new business as it scales
  5. ability to move items forward at a quick pace


Job Type: Part-time @ 20 hours per week


Pay: $25 per hour with the option to go full-time salary when the 25% target revenue increase is met. This can also include a 3% revenue share.
