Summary

In this role, you will lead manufacturing operations teams to successfully and safely meet the needs of customers, both internal and external. You will provide direction to your teams by planning and executing clear goals, priorities and metrics. You will create a positive and highly effective working environment based on mutual respect and a shared goal of being the number one supplier to our customers. You will be accountable for the day-to-day operations to the team while increasing the company’s value in the market.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure strategic and tactical goals are achieved through effective teamwork and clear communication

· Develop plans to attain yield and productivity goals

  • Train and develop future supervisors and team members for success in the team’s goals and for future opportunities
  • Ensure KPI’s are communicated and executed to meet targeted volumes and level of quality

· Manage consistent reporting and communication with President and Corporate Headquarters in South Korea

  • Manage initiatives and strategies that deliver cost effective, high quality, and improve operational performance
  • Actively seek the VOE (voice of employee)
  • Partner with internal and external customers (Sales & Marketing, Accounting, Procurement, Engineering, and HR) to ensure production needs are consistently met
  • Establish and reinforce capability building and employee engagement to our overall culture and retention
  • Drive innovation, embrace technology, champion created ideas, and implement process improvements
  • Provide timely feedback on performance and maintain an environment that encourages initiative, creative thinking, and self-motivation
  • Monitor plans to attain yield and productivity goals

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s Degree required in Operations, Management, Engineering or related field or equivalent, relevant years of experience required; MBA preferred

Experience:

  • Demonstrated track record of building career succession initiatives within assigned departments
  • Demonstrated leadership working in the electric vehicle industry preferred
  • Automotive, Manufacturing, or Automotive OEM experience preferred, ideally with a global organization
  • Leadership experience in a large company (1000+ employees)
  • 7+ years of experience, with 5 plus years’ experience as a Leader in complex mechanical assembly, tooling, and manufacturing in a highly automated and/or automotive engineering environment
