Operations Manager Jobs

An exciting opportunity to join a Leading Manufacturer in the Benton Harbor, MI area as an Operations Manager for their plant. The Operations Manager is responsible for providing leadership and systems to efficiently operate all production, as well as provide support for corporate initiatives. The ideal candidate will have solid experience overseeing Maintenance as well as overall Operations.

Responsibilities

• Establish clear goals and expectations; track progress against those goals
• Provide expertise and leadership in materials management, determining customer requirements, organizing functional team and establishing the methods and procedures necessary to satisfy these functions
• Provide supervision and technical leadership
• Meet customer requirements for quality and delivery
• Responsible for the overall safety of all employees ensuring proper procedures are applied when working operations and maintaining a safe physical environment.
• Respond quickly and effectively to direct customer requests as well as company sales and marketing requirements for information, quotation, documentation and prototype parts
• Conduct and document quotation and contract reviews prior to committing to fulfillment of customer requirements
• Achieving established budget

Qualifications

• Conflict resolution skills
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Production Management, or related field or equivalent experience
• Problem-solving skills
• Five or more years of related experience in the automotive industry
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
• Strong Computer skills including experience with an ERP system
